BCTS provides assistance to businesses and companies in generating "Monitoring and Evaluation" programs to help them determine the efficiency of projects.
Management’s
continuous examination of progress achieved during the implementation of an
undertaking to track compliance with the plan and generating data and
information on performance to enable corrective measures to be taken is called Monitoring.
As for the Evaluation,
it includes assessment, as systematic and impartial as possible, of an
activity, project, program, strategy, policy, topic, theme, sector, operational
area, institutional performance, etc. It focuses on expected and achieved
accomplishments, examining the results chain, processes, contextual factors and
causality, in order to understand achievements or the lack thereof and aims at
determining the relevance, impact, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability
of the interventions and contributions of the organizations.
Monitoring is
an internal, repetitive, operations and management function while Evaluation
is often external, periodic/ snapshot, in greater depth and asking different
questions.
Monitoring questions
“Are we doing things right”? Whereas Evaluation
asks “Are we doing the right things?” and “Are there better ways of achieving
the results?”
